UK charter operator Jet Exchange has been granted a worldwide AOC, allowing it to operate globally. The company will use the AOC primarily for operations with its Challenger 604, which can travel from the UK to New York and Kazakhstan without refuelling. As part of the certification the company also has specific approvals for operations to Svalbard in the Arctic Circle. Total AOC provided full management of the approval process.

Managing director Ian Austin says: “We've established a reputation for reliability with brokers and, with our worldwide AOC, we can now transport clients to destinations anywhere in the world. The Challenger 604 is an excellent choice for crossing the Atlantic and, with one refuelling stop, most of the globe is reachable. We can also take on new clients with ultra-long-range aircraft and look after them globally.”

The company has already used the AOC to conduct operations to the Middle East, Hawaii, Alaska and southern Africa.

Additionally, Jet Exchange's certification from DEFRA allows it to provide pet transport using Biggin Hill, Farnborough, London Stansted and London Oxford airports, and it is able to obtain authorisation for other airports if required.

An approved member of the US Visa Waiver Program, the company also holds approvals from the Canadian Transportation Agency, the US DOT and the FAA to conduct commercial operations in the US.
