Constant Aviation Las Vegas renews Mexican authorization

Constant Aviation, offering full-service maintenance, repair, and overhaul within a nationwide network, announced today that it has renewed its Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) approval and has expanded its airframe capabilities.

Initially certified by the DGAC in 2014, Constant was authorized to work on Mexican registered Embraer 145 and 500 and Beechcraft 400 and 800 series airframes at its facility in Las Vegas. This most recent renewal expands the list of approved airframes to include multiple series under the Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker Beechcraft, Learjet, and Piaggio lines.

“We saw an increase in demand over the last few years at our Las Vegas location from Mexican registered aircraft. Renewing our DGAC and expanding upon our serviceable aircrafts was an integral step to better serve our customers,” says Scott Sweeney, VP of operations. “Previously, we had the authorization to work four airframe series, three powerplant series, and limited accessories. With this renewal, we now have the authorization to work 29 airframe series, nine powerplant series, and all accessories listed on our 145 capabilities list.”

The company's Cleveland, Las Vegas, and Birmingham service locations collectively hold a number of certificates and permits required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and plan to increase this number as necessary. Sweeney concluded, “We are extremely proactive in ensuring that we acquire the necessary documentation to actively pursue the emerging markets and developing opportunities. It is a critical element in Constant's continued growth and success.”
