Meridian names Greg Johnson director of business development

Meridian, the award-winning private aviation company based at Teterboro Airport in Teterboro, NJ, is pleased to announce that Greg Johnson has been named director of business development. Mr. Johnson has 15 years of business aviation experience, specializing in strategic planning, operations, aircraft management, acquisition/sales, and marketing. He will be responsible for overseeing the development of a new Meridian FBO to be built at Hayward Executive Airport in Hayward, CA, and growing the aircraft management business on the West Coast.

Mr. Johnson began his aviation career with Apex Aviation in Napa, CA, before moving on to ACM Aviation in 2005, which later became part of TWC Aviation based in San Jose, CA. During that time, his responsibilities increased from managing charter and sales personnel, to negotiating long-term leases and aircraft management contracts, to managing four business lines and their budgets. He also played a key role in the acquisition of a fixed base operation, as well as developed strategic planning initiatives for new clients.

Ken Forester, Meridian's ceo, had this to say, “As we continue our national expansion, Greg will play a critical role in establishing and building the Meridian brand within Hayward, California, and more broadly, the entire West Coast. Our sales offices in Hayward, San Jose, and Santa Rosa were the first step in our growth plan. We are confident that Greg will play a key role in developing our new FBO at Hayward and expanding our fleet of managed aircraft. His wealth of experience will be an asset to the organization, and we are really happy to have him on the Meridian team.”
