Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, announced Tony Gilbert has been named the new vice president of business development for South America.

After graduating from the Air Force Academy of Brazil, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Sciences, Tony served with distinction as an officer in the Brazilian Air Force. Later as an airline pilot for VASP in Brazil, Tony flew Boeing 737-200 aircraft before coming to the United States to begin his career with Duncan Aviation. There he excelled in international business development and successfully led the Duncan global sales force for more than 12 years. Most recently, he served as the vice president for partnerships and network for Heli One, a global leader in helicopter maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO).

“As we continue to invest in the growth of our business in Latin America, we are excited to have Tony on board to help us expand our business here,” stated Neil Book, president and ceo for JSSI. “Tony's valuable cross section of experience in South America, coupled with his strong network and leadership skills, will enable him to lead our team efforts in South America to provide aircraft owners and operators with the very best JSSI has to offer,” added Mr. Book.
