Eurojet claims U.K. Sovereign first as new aircraft deliveries expand fleet capabilities
Eurojet Aviation believes it is the first in the U.K. to receive CAA approval to operate a Citation Sovereign for charter.

Eurojet Aviation believes it is the first in the U.K. to receive CAA approval to operate a Citation Sovereign for charter. The company has taken delivery of two new Sovereigns and two Citation XLS and will be adding a third XLS to its managed charter fleet before the end of the year. It has also opened its first London base at Stansted Airport where one of the Sovereigns is now based.

Graeme Campbell, md, says: "This is a very exciting time for the company, with the addition of five brand new aircraft this year, the opening of our first London base and the start of our commercial operations on the Sovereign. The performance and range of this aircraft has made it the natural addition to our fleet, enabling us to meet the demand from our clients for a larger and longer range aircraft in this rapidly expanding sector of the market."

Lisa Wellington, commercial development manager, says: "We believe the Sovereign will fill the gap in our current fleet for increasing demand for flights to and from longer-range destinations in North Africa, Russia and the Middle East.

Eurojet Aviation, established in 1987, operates its aircraft, which include a Citation I, Citation Excel and a Bravo, from bases throughout Ireland and the U.K. including Belfast, Birmingham, Gloucester, London and Dublin. It also operates an FBO at Belfast. "Our new aircraft are crewed and ready to fly. However with increasing demand we will be looking for new crews," said Wellington.
