Acquisitions planned for ExecuJet's Danish fleet
ExecuJet's Denmark-controlled fleet could grow by half-a-dozen aircraft over the next few months. Torben Jorgensen, gm of Denmark operations, says: "Expect the addition of at least another Challenger 850 and Lear 40XR along with a Hawker 800 and a Legacy."

The 11-strong Danish-registered fleet currently consists of a mixture of Challengers, Learjets, Global Express XRS and Hawker 800XP.

In a joint venture with the Copenhagen Airports Authority, ExecuJet also operates the FBO at Roskilde, Copenhagen. "The charter market in Scandinavia is steadily picking up as regional economic growth climbs and there are fewer concerns about public perceptions concerning business aircraft ownership and hire," says Jorgensen.

Jorgensen, formerly director flight operations with the Danish CAA, and a helicopter pilot with the Danish navy and air force, adds: "While the general acceptance of charter and ownership in Scandinavia probably lags about 12 to 18 months behind the rest of Europe, there are definite business opportunities. There are some exciting new prospects for operations and charter collaboration across southern Norway and Sweden. This in turn will drive increased traffic through the Roskilde FBO."

Roskilde operates as an independent maintenance organisation, is an approved service centre for Pilatus and has sales dealerships or agencies for Bombardier and Grob.
