NetJets adds winglets to boost Falcon range
NetJets Europe is finalising plans to upgrade its Falcon 2000EX fleet. Bill Kelly, ceo NetJets Transportes Aereos, says: "We are committed to working towards operating a more fuel efficient, better performing fleet.

NetJets Europe is finalising plans to upgrade its Falcon 2000EX fleet. Bill Kelly, ceo NetJets Transportes Aereos, says: "We are committed to working towards operating a more fuel efficient, better performing fleet.

"This upgrade not only reduces the Falcon's fuel consumption but also improves climb performance and gives additional range."

In the next year NetJets will retrofit high mach blended winglets on to eight Falcon 2000EX EASy aircraft transforming them into Falcon 2000LX, the new 4,000 n.m. aircraft Dassault unveiled at EBACE in May this year.

"The upgrade is valued at $4.4 million and will begin in late 2007," says Kelly. "The advanced blended winglet design from Aviation Partners will require some structural and systems modifications. Reinforcing straps will be added to the upper and lower wing panels and

the servo actuator door will be reinforced."
