Expanding ExecuJet is 'bullish' about 2006
Business aviation is experiencing an amazing revival, according to Peter Smales, executive director of marketing at ExecuJet Aviation Group, parent company of ExecuJet.

Business aviation is experiencing an amazing revival, according to Peter Smales, executive director of marketing at ExecuJet Aviation Group, parent company of ExecuJet.

"Things picked up about 18 months ago and the demand since then has improved considerably," he said. The group's European contingency provides the bulk of the business, but its other divisions in Australia, the US, South Africa and the UAE are also robust, he added.

Execujet recently acquired a Global Express aircraft, which it plans to manage for the owner once he gives the go-ahead.

"We don't yet have it on our charter fleet. The owners tend to try out the aircraft for a while first before deciding finally what their aircraft needs are and whether chartering the aeroplane will suit them," he said.

The company expects to hear within the next three months whether this particular aeroplane will be available as a charter aircraft. In the meantime, the company will focus on growing the European market further over the next two years.

As well as being the German dealership, the company is celebrating its appointment as worldwide Grob SPn Utility Jet provider, a deal scheduled to run well into 2007.

The company is also a designated service and maintenance support provider for the Grob SPn.
