Three join ACSF Aviation Safety Action Program
Three US operators, Tri-State Charter, Coleman Jet and OpenAir, have joined the Air Charter Safety Foundation's ASAP

Tri-State Charter, Coleman Jet and OpenAir have all pledged their commitment to aviation safety by participating in the ACSF's Aviation Safety Action Program, which helps flight operators identify and reduce possible flight safety concerns and mitigate risks.

Founded in 1963 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Tri-State Charter operates a fleet of VIP configured CRJ-200s for on demand charter.

Coleman Jet opened in June 2013, and now provides FBO, charter, aircraft management and maintenance and repair services in the Chicagoland region. It's independently owned and managed, and is based out of Gary/Chicago International airport.

OpenAir is a charter, aircraft management and flight training school at Gaithersburg, Maryland with a second flight school in Leesburg, Virginia.

The ACSF, which administers the ASAP in conjunction with the FAA, offers an easy, open, self-reporting initiative via third-party facilitation, tracking and corrective action recommendations so that operators can enhance and improve their overall safety culture.

ACSF president and CEO Bryan Burns says: "We're pleased to welcome Coleman Jet, Open Air and Tri-State Charter to the Air Charter Safety Foundation and to our Aviation Safety Action Program. Their commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in their operations is commendable. And their ASAP participation reinforces the collective effort toward ensuring the utmost safety for passengers and crew alike."

Participation in the ACSF's Aviation Safety Action Program not only prioritises safety, but also elevates a member's profile as a leader in the industry. Aviation organisations will gain access to non-punitive reporting, FAA collaboration and enhanced reputation.
