Talon gets a grip on Wyvern certification
At Talon Air, the team understands that operational safety is paramount, and it is proud to adhere to the highest industry standards to ensure its clients have a safe and comfortable travel experience.

Talon Air, a full-service private jet charter company headquartered in Farmingdale, New York, has once again demonstrated its commitment to safety by earning Wyvern Wingman certified operator designation. The successful audit was conducted by Wyvern in February 2023, and the achievement validates Talon Air's adherence to the highest safety standards in the air charter industry.

As the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, the Wyvern Wingman Standard provides clients with a safety benchmark to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best practices before purchasing air charter services.

James Chitty, CEO of Talon Air, says: “We are thrilled to once again receive the Wyvern Wingman certified operator designation, which demonstrates our unwavering commitment to safety and excellence in the air charter industry. At Talon Air, we understand that safety is paramount, and we are proud to adhere to the highest industry standards to ensure our clients have a safe and comfortable travel experience. We thank Wyvern for its rigorous evaluation process and for recognising our dedication to maintaining a culture of safety and exceptional service.”

The evaluation criteria include a comprehensive assessment of operational activities, safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programmes, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, maintenance operations, and technician training and experience.

Sonnies Bates, CEO of Wyvern concludes: “Talon Air's certification as a Wyvern Wingman operator sets them apart from other operators in the air charter industry. This achievement validates their commitment to attaining and maintaining an enduring safety culture that elevates their performance above other operators who are just beginning to embrace the value of formal safety risk management.”
