Switzerland-based operator Nomad Aviation can look back on an extremely successful 2022 despite the difficult geopolitical environment.

During the course of the year it expanded its global fleet of managed aircraft with a total of five large cabin and ultra-long range business jets, comprising a Global XRS, a Gulfstream V, two Gulfstream G550s and a Falcon 8X.

In addition, it added a previously privately operated Global 5000 to its Swiss AOC. This central Europe-based aircraft has quickly gained popularity on the charter market and complements the existing charter fleet, which currently consists of a Gulfstream G450, a Global 5000 and an Airbus ACJ319.

CEO Thomas Köhli says: “We are delighted that we have been able to further expand our fleet of managed aircraft, especially in the ultra-long range segment. A corporate or private jet is the kind of asset for which more and more owners entrust the management to Nomad Aviation, for a wide range of benefits, maximized flexibility and efficiency.”

Vice president aircraft management and sales Christoph Thurnherr adds: “While the charter market was already flourishing in 2021 as it experienced a massive increase in demand after the COVID crisis, this increase has definitely not stagnated in 2022. We are very pleased to see how the market continued to grow throughout 2022. The addition of the Global 5000 to our AOC certainly came at the right time.”
