Abu Dhabi-based RoyalJet is to extend its current Ka-band connectivity services to include its latest Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) fleet addition. Honeywell's JetWave high-speed satellite communications hardware and airtime services will enable secure, high-speed wi-fi on all devices on board.

Connectivity has become a basic requirement for business aviation as a means of improving productivity. Honeywell's JetWave satellite communications system allows business aviation passengers to get connected, stay connected and optimise the connectivity experience via Inmarsat Aviation's GX Ka-band network. RoyalJet passengers will be able to access high-speed internet to carry out daily work tasks, including video-conferencing meetings.

“Today's business jet passengers are very tech-savvy and expect to use their devices, especially their mobile phones, from the moment they board an aircraft to the moment they land. To ensure that our clients have a smooth experience we at RoyalJet aim to provide them with the best services and surpass their expectations. We have partnered with Honeywell and its connectivity solutions help us address our passengers' need for modern comfort and connectivity, allowing access to reliable speeds, thereby fulfilling customer demands,” says CEO Mohamed Hussain Ahmed.

“We are proud to have supported RoyalJet for over five years to leverage connectivity in its expanding fleet to provide a more connected experience for its customers,” says Honeywell senior director, business aviation, EMEAI Nadya Krisko. “Honeywell provides solutions that address our customers' connectivity needs, with a wide range of service plans that provide customers with the flexibility to select the plan and pricing that best suits their operations.”

Honeywell is an existing service provider for RoyalJet on six other Boeing Business Jets, providing a variety of solutions across its fleet including Honeywell's JetWave system and Swift Broadband services.
