THC signs maintenance agreement with SAEI
Rotorcraft usage is expected to increase significantly across the Kingdom and THC hopes to set up a rotorcraft heavy maintenance base at King Abdulaziz International airport.
The signing ceremony between captains Arnaud Martinez and Fahd Cynndy was attended by Saudia director general His Excellency engineer Ibrahim Al-Omar and executives from both organisations.

Saudi Arabia-based The Helicopter Company (THC) has signed an MRO with King Abdulaziz International airport, Jeddah-based Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) for the establishment of a rotorcraft heavy maintenance base. This includes new hangars and a focus on partnership opportunities with OEMs for authorised service centre certification. The collaboration will include the consideration of eco-system synergies between SAEI and THC with the goal of enhancing rotorcraft operations.

“As THC continues to expand its operations across the Kingdom, we are thrilled to sign this agreement and to explore new options to support our fleet maintenance needs into the future,” says THC CEO captain Arnaud Martinez.

“The timing of this partnership is optimal as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is entering a period in which rotorcraft usage is expected to increase significantly in terms of volume and the range applications across both public and private sectors,” adds SAEI CEO captain Fahd H Cynndy.
