Five Rivers completes Livermore hangar construction
Five Rivers Aviation, the only FBO at California's Livermore Municipal airport in San Francisco's Tri-Valley area, is ready to welcome more traffic to its operation with the completion of a 43,000 sq ft hangar facility.
Fiver Rivers' new 43,000 sq ft hangar facility can house aircraft up to G650 or Global 8000 in size.

California full service FBO Five Rivers Aviation has completed construction of a 43,000 sq ft hangar facility.

The $9 million project adds three hangars to the FBO's existing four, providing space for aircraft up to a Gulfstream G650 and Global 8000 in size. The new facility features a 150 ft wide ramp, a water-based fire suppression system, doors measuring 30 ft high and 115 ft wide, over 3,000 sq ft of office space, three-phase power receptacles in every hangar, standby power, drains certified for wet-washing aircraft and high speed fibre optic internet capabilities.

With heightened sustainability in mind, the hanger only uses LED lights, and the FBO has further converted all existing exterior lighting to LED bulbs. The facility also features 70 skylights; wrap-around translucent security windows; a reflective white roof coating; fully insulated ceilings, walls and doors; multi-bin recycling; six vehicle charging stations; and a 99 kilowatt solar system on the roof feeding the FBO's campus.

“Five Rivers is thrilled to responsibly develop the Livermore airport in ways that are compatible with the needs and demands of our thriving community,” says owner Pete Sandhu. “By reducing the friction of conducting business in the Tri-Valley community, we are able to attract new employers and further enable existing businesses to flourish.”

Travellers to Five Rivers Aviation benefit from uncongested airspace, affording immediate clearances for take off and quick climbs to flight level. Precision ILS and GPS approaches guide pilots to long, grooved runways able to accommodate aircraft up to 130,000 lbs with landing waivers, while expeditious IFR releases with no idling departures help heighten efficiency. Furthermore, with its location outside the region's fog belt, aviators benefit from the highest rate of Visual Meteorological Conditions of any Bay Area airport.
