UK operators maintain endorsement from EURAMI
Gama and Capital have received EURAMI accreditation in the regional fixed wing air ambulance category and both operators have been endorsed for adult and neonatal critical care.
Gama has been accredited against the following endorsements: adult critical care; advanced adult critical care; paediatric critical care and neonatal critical care.

The European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI) board have awarded Gama Aviation and Capital Air Ambulance primary accreditation in the regional fixed wing air ambulance category. Capital were also accredited as a commercial airline medical escort.

Gama has been accredited against the following endorsements: adult critical care; advanced adult critical care; paediatric critical care and neonatal critical care. The EURAMI accreditation acknowledges Capital as providing high quality, safety and excellence in aero-medical transportation with an endorsement in adult and neonatal critical care.

Special mission MD at Gama, Mark Smith comments: “We are delighted to be awarded this accreditation, which continues to build on the capabilities of our air ambulance offer. Dr Forrington and the clinical service team play a key part in the delivery of our air ambulance operations as well as influencing adjacent capability in air ambulance mission systems design.”

Lisa Humphries, head of medical and charter sales at Capital Air Ambulance says: “We are delighted Capital has been re-accredited by EURAMI, who set exceptionally high standards in the areas of safety and excellence in aviation medicine. Having evaluated a number of criteria for accreditation, it’s excellent that Capital continues to demonstrate the highest level of service to our customers, clients and partners.”
