ACSF rolls out ASAP e-learning courses
The Air Charter Safety Foundation has designed online courses to provide users of its aviation safety action program (ASAP) with a greater understanding of its values and processes.
Read this story in our September 2021 printed issue.

The Air Charter Safety Foundation is to launch two e-learning courses, free of charge to ACSF members who participate in the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). The courses will provide an introduction to ASAP and ASAP Principles and Administration, and are designed to educate new users on the use and benefits of the programme.

The courses will take less than one hour combined to complete and were developed through a partnership with the National Air Transportation Association's Safety 1st programme. Participating companies will use NATA's Learning Management System software to administer, document, track, report upon and deliver the ASAP training programme.

The ACSF says on completing the ASAP courses, participants will be able to articulate the four pillars of value of the ASAP: understand how the ASAP is integrated into a safety management system; know how safety risk management is employed; understand the process used by the executive review committee to evaluate reports, develop corrective actions, conduct reviews and manage follow-ups; establish an ASAP with ACSF through an FAA memorandum of understanding and to review evidence for the success of the ASAP.
