Rosaviatsia gives Kazan plant the nod for Ansat device
The Ansat helicopter simulator located in Kazan is equipped with a visualisation system that provides a full view from the pilot's seat. Two flight areas are reproduced: Kazan and Sochi, enabling effective training.
The Kazan Helicopters Aviation Training Center is also equipped with a complex simulator for the Mi-8MTV helicopter.

Russian Helicopters subsidiary Kazan Helicopter Plant has received permission from Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) to operate the Ansat helicopter simulator for Russian civil aviation pilots.

The simulator is approved by the Federal Air Transport Agency to conduct type training and periodic training of professional skills of the flight crews for the Ansat. In 2020, Kazan Helicopters was confirmed as a Center for Expertise and Certification of Aviation Equipment of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after I. NOT. Zhukovsky (TsAGI). This award signified that the Ansat helicopter simulator complies with all international standards.

β€œIn just a year after the launch of the Ansat helicopter simulator, the Aviation Training Center of the Kazan Helicopter Plant has trained 40 pilots of foreign customers on it,” says MD of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Alexei Belykh .

The Ansat helicopter simulator is equipped with a visualisation system that provides a full view from the pilot's seat. With its help, two flight areas are reproduced: Kazan, including the KHP flight test complex, and Sochi. The vibration platform and audio system help to recreate the vibrational and acoustic effects of flight. Using the simulator, trained pilots will be able to practice actions in various conditions, including dangerous and emergency situations.

The Kazan Helicopters Aviation Training Center is also equipped with a complex simulator for the Mi-8MTV helicopter. The simulator cockpit is adapted to simulate pilot training at night with night vision goggles. In addition, the simulator is equipped with a vibroacoustic setup that simulates the vibration and sounds of a helicopter, depending on the mode and flight conditions.

The Aviation Training Center of the Kazan Helicopter Plant was established in 1995. Over the more than 20-year history of the centre's work, almost 9,000 specialists have been trained there. The centre conducts retraining and advanced training courses for flight and engineering personnel. Instructors constantly improve their skills and undergo training in training centres in Russia, as well as abroad, and have personal certificates from aviation manufacturing companies. Training for helicopters of the Mi-8/17 and Ansat types is carried out at the KHP ATC. In the near future, it is planned to create a similar training programme for the Mi-38 helicopter.
