Data shows high utilisation amongst safety-conscious operators
ARGUS rated operators averaged nearly double the flight hours over non-rated operators, with ARGUS rated operators recording an average of 2,166 hours from May 2020 through April 2021. Resilience has been shown.

The aviation industry has seen highs and lows over the past 16 months. During this time, dedication to customer safety and health has become the cornerstone to success for charter operators, according to ARGUS International. Over the last year, ARGUS' market intelligence team has found statistics that it believes show that a business jet charter operator's dedication to safety and client requirements results in greater flight hours, rather than simply that larger and busier operators have more resources available for such certifications.

It says it drilled into the numbers, pulling out a view of flight hours by removing outliers to obtain an objective comparison. The result showed that ARGUS rated operators averaged nearly double the flight hours over non-rated operators, with ARGUS rated operators recording an average of 2,166 hours from May 2020 through April 2021. The industry average was 1,297 hours, the organisation says.

“We congratulate our operators for their success during a difficult year. Their dedication to safety has shown to also make them resilient during a worldwide pandemic,” adds Joe Moeggenberg, president and CEO of ARGUS International.
