Fargo Jet Center (FJC), based at Hector International airport in Fargo, North Dakota, has earned the 2020 FAA Diamond Award of Excellence. This is FJC's ninth year earning the award, showcasing its continued commitment to providing exceptional aviation maintenance services.

This award recognises that FJC's maintenance department incorporates a thorough level of initial and recurrent training aimed at enhancing the safety and quality of its technicians.

“Our team is continually proving they are committed to being the best in our industry,” says Mike Clancy, VP of technical services. “Investing in training is key to keeping safety as our top priority. We are proud of our technician's hard work and dedication, which is reflected in this award achievement.”

FJC is an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station and serves as an authorised service centre for Textron, Kodiak and Cirrus, and as an authorised satellite service centre for Pilatus. FJC is the only organisation in North Dakota to receive this award for the 2020 calendar year. The awards were presented at FJC by Jeffry Boe, FAA safety team programme manager.

The AMT Awards programme was first created by the FAA in 1991 to encourage technicians and employers to receive or promote initial and recurrent maintenance training. The Diamond Award of Excellence is the FAA's highest award for aviation maintenance technicians and employers. An eligible employer with a minimum of 100 percent of its eligible employees receiving an individual William (Bill) O'Brien Award for a given calendar year is eligible to receive special recognition in the form of an AMT Diamond Award of Excellence.
