Sheltair has welcomed Atlantic Jet Refinishing as a tenant at Fort Lauderdale Executive airport in its newly-constructed paint facility. The 16,500 sq ft paint hangar is the first in its class to be built in south Florida, offering a dual-bay layout with upgraded systems built to meet the latest environmental and fire suppression requirements. With the hangar's open span, Atlantic Jet Refinishing will be able to accommodate aircraft as large as the Gulfstream G650 and the Global Express.

“We are proud to have developed this new paint hangar for Atlantic Jet Refinishing,” says Todd Anderson, Sheltair's COO. “This facility was constructed and designed by Sheltair with precise attention to detail. Combined with Atlantic Jet's lease with us, we are confident the present and future demands of aircraft painting in south Florida will be met long-term.”

Offering exterior aircraft paint and refinishing services, Atlantic Jet Refinishing brings over 70 years of experience to Fort Lauderdale. Its proximity to Banyan Air Services allows customers to find a one-stop-shop for all their maintenance, avionics, interior and painting needs.

Company president Ed Richardson states: “Whether it is for corporate branding or personal preferences, we have experts on hand to propose and execute the most unique paint colours and designs. Our commitment to the customer is reflected in our investment in this new Sheltair facility, which allows us to meet and exceed our clients' expectations at a location in the heart of south Florida's general aviation community.”

Atlantic Jet's paint facility on the east side of Fort Lauderdale opens simultaneously with Sheltair's new 20-acre Northside Hangar Complex at the airfield. The complex includes eight hangars of up to 22,500 sq ft and a new FBO terminal operated by Banyan Air Services that will be opening this month.
