APG sold to group investing for the long-term
The purchase of APG by AFV's Tony Aquila brings the provision of flight ops software back under his radar.

Colorado-based mission critical flight operations software provider Aircraft Performance Group (APG) has been purchased by AFV Partners from Liberty Hall Capital Partners.

Founded in 1999, APG is a global provider of proprietary aircraft performance, weight and balance, and flight planning software solutions to the more than two billion dollar addressable business and charter aviation segments of the global aerospace industry, supporting all key aircraft OEMs in the market. Its proprietary software solutions support regulator-required aircraft performance calculations for customers ranging from fractional operators to Fortune 500 flight departments in more than 80 countries.

CEO Michael Caflisch says: “APG has leveraged its leading market position to expand its portfolio of capabilities and optimise delivery of solutions while also continuing to support a culture of technological innovation. We look forward to working with the AFV Partners team to maximise our opportunity for future growth.”

Capital investment company AFV Partners founder, chairman and CEO Tony Aquila was previously an investor and lead board director, alongside Liberty Hall, in APG. He adds: “APG is a growing market leader with a 20 year track record of providing regulator-required performance and safety calculations and will be a foundational asset for our aviation investment vertical. We look forward to working alongside APG's management team to help it leverage our experience, technology and long-term capital. Together, we are committed to enabling software and platforms that make the world a safer, better and more profitable place.”
