Gama Aviation has taken on two new aircraft management contracts, one for an Airbus ACJ319 and the other an Embraer Praetor, believed to be the first in the Middle East region. These come after the company established a Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Part 125 operating certificate, based out of Jeddah, to assist local aircraft owners with the transition to GACA's new regulations.

Interim managing director Middle East Dave Edwards comments: “Both aircraft were won through a competitive process and I'm pleased to see that our simple, transparent aircraft management offer has struck a chord with owners in the Kingdom. For too long, aircraft owners have suffered from poor service, a lack of quality advice and have not had access to the depth, breadth and scale of support they should expect. We are here to change this, supporting the Kingdom's progressive approach to aviation and its commitment to high regulatory and operational standards.”

The Airbus ACJ319 will operate charter missions during the second half of 2020. The Praetor 600 will be privately operated.

Edwards continues: “The addition of these two aircraft is a significant vote of confidence in the way that we have approached our business in the Kingdom. Our plan is to continue to build our reputation for managing these assets efficiently and effectively. We believe this platform provides owners with a guarantee of transparency and an unrelenting focus on managing costs without compromising safety.”
