AJW moves closer to Liebherr Aerospace
With greater collaboration agreed, AJW Group will have direct access to Liebherr Aerospace components that can be traced, sold and exchanged dependent on customers' individual needs.
AJW Technique has enhanced its relationship with Liebherr Aerospace.

Montreal-based AJW Technique, the maintenance hub for AJW Group's component repair and overhaul service, has commited to enhanced collaboration with North American OEM service centre Liebherr Aerospace Saline.

The effort will enable the two businesses to better support operators across the world, with AJW Technique receiving access to the OEM's new and serviceable market and exchange inventory. This means that AJW Group will have direct access to Liebherr Aerospace components that can be traced, sold and exchanged dependent on a customers' individual needs.

AJW Technique will provide Liebherr Aerospace with component packages of inventory for its Used Serviceable Material (USM) offering, whilst AJW Leasing will provide Liebherr Aerospace with component packages for sales and leasing when needed. Further, the exchange of services workload will be reviewed as well.

AJW Technique vice president of MRO sales Frank Boni says: “Our new collaboration will deliver synergies that will enable us to jointly offer aircraft operators worldwide best-in-class and complimentary services. Partnering with leading OEMs to develop complementary relationships is an integral part of our strategy of driving trade and MRO reciprocal work globally. We are continually looking at how we can expand our portfolio of OEM partnerships to enable us to offer a wider range of mutually attractive customer solutions.”

Over the past seven years, AJW Technique has rapidly grown into a business that today has more than 200 engineers, providing support to over 300 airlines across the globe, processing in excess of 35,000 units per year across 6,000 part number lines. The independent company specialises in the supply, exchange, repair and lease of airframe and engine spare parts. It delivers effective supply chain management, asset management and channel partner solutions to transform aviation efficiency. AJW has operational hubs and local offices across the following regions; Africa, Asia Pacific, China, CIS, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and inventory hubs across Europe, Asia and the US and holds approvals from ANAC (Brazil), CAAC (China), CAAS (Singapore), DGCA (Indonesia), EASA (Europe), HKCAD (Hong Kong), JCAB (Japan) and TCCA (Canada).

The Liebherr Aerospace Saline plants started operation in 1991. The company is responsible for the sales, logistics and service as well as for technical services of flight control systems and air management systems for the aerospace industry in North and South America.

At the Saline plant, the company services air management systems, flight control systems, and actuation systems, as well as landing gear systems for aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, AgustaWestland, ATR, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Eurocopter and Gulfstream.
