Hongkong Jet looks within for head of engineering
After a long career in aviation engineering, former Air Force mechanic Ng Kong Fook now heads up the department at HongKong Jet.
Hongkong Jet has appointed a new head of engineering.

Hongkong Jet (HJK) has appointed Ng Kong Fook as its new head of engineering. After starting his career in aviation maintenance with the Royal Malaysia Air Force as an airframe mechanic/technician from 1980 till 1988, Kong Fook transferred to the commercial sector in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, expanding his knowledge at various MROs.

For several years he worked with various organisations throughout Malaysia and Singapore including Jet Aviation, Hawker Pacific Singapore and Executive Jet Malaysia, before finally relocating to Hong Kong with Metrojet in 2007, progressing from maintenance supervisor to manager of engineering.

Kong Fook joined Hongkong Jet's engineering department in December 2017, rising through the ranks to assume his current position as head of maintenance. He holds multiple aviation maintenance licences including HKCAD B1, FOCA B1, CASA Australia and FAA A&P, with ratings on the Gulfstream GIV/GIV-X series, Bombardier BD-700 series, Falcon 900EX EASy and 7X, Learjet 31, King Air B350 and Cessna Citation aircraft types.

“I take pride in working with a great team of talented and hardworking engineers at Hongkong Jet. I look forward to continuing to enhance our services and support HKJ's clients,” says Kong Fook.

With line and base maintenance capabilities and a growing number of NAA 145 approvals including FAA, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and HKCAD (including China-B/Macau-B under JMM and Canada under TA-M), HKJ offers total technical support for its clients' aircraft. Its team of specialists are on stand-by to deploy immediately for any aircraft maintenance issues, in multiple locations in Asia and beyond.
