Gobbo scoops NBAA tick for incident-free flying
The NBAA's Pilot Safety Award celebrates over 4,500 hours of accident and incident free flying in the business aviation industry. Ricardo Gobbo has more than 7,500, having flown for Brazil's Air Force and Embraer.

Ricardo Gobbo, base manager and captain at GrandView Aviation, a private jet service based in Texas and Maryland, has received the Pilot Safety Award from the NBAA. The award celebrates over 4,500 hours of accident and incident free flying in the business aviation industry. Gobbo has more than 7,500 hours of total flight experience in addition to his business aviation experience.

“We are so fortunate to have Ricardo on our team,” says COO Jessica Naor. “Not only is he an incredibly experienced pilot with thousands of hours in our specific aircraft, but he's also a wonderful leader dedicated to the growth of his peers.”

Gobbo has been at GrandView since 2016, and prior to that he was a fighter pilot, flight instructor and flight safety officer in the Brazilian Air Force. He has also flown for Embraer Executive Aircraft, the manufacturer of GrandView's fleet of aircraft, as a flight instructor and demonstration pilot in the Phenom 100 and 300 models, and for Cessna Aircraft. He has experience in over 27 aircraft types and completed training at the Brazilian Air Force University.

GrandView Aviation operates a fleet of Phenom 300 charter jets and helicopters in Maryland and Texas. The company has offices at Martin State airport and Austin-Bergstom International airport. The company is an FAA Part 135 certificated aircraft operator and carries the elite Wyvern Wingman safety rating.
