Teterboro training extends to King Air 350
A new Falcon 2000LXS/900LX interchangeable simulator is scheduled to be online in the second half of next year at FlightSafety in Teterboro, while the centre is also set to have a King Air 350 sim.
FlightSafety's BE350 simulator should begin operations in April 2019 following FAA Level D qualification.

FlightSafety International is building a new Dassault Falcon 2000LXS and Falcon 900LX interchangeable simulator, FS1000, to be installed at its learning centre in Teterboro, New Jersey. Training is scheduled to begin in August 2019 following Level D qualification by the FAA and EASA. Approval by other regulatory authorities will be completed according to customer needs.

“We are expanding the capabilities offered at our Teterboro centre to meet the changing and growing needs of our customers,” says senior vice president, commercial Steve Gross. “The Falcon 2000LXS and Falcon 900LX training programme will include a wide variety of initial, recurrent, differences and update training for pilots, maintenance technicians and flight attendants.”

The simulator will feature the Dassault FalconEye Combined Vision System (CVS) HUD along with the CrewView collimated glass mirror display and VITAL 1100 visual system. CrewView provides distortion-free optical performance with greater clarity, sharpness and brightness. The glass technology provides a true spherical shape for exact geometry across the entire viewing area. VITAL 1100 provides highly detailed mission-specific imagery with vastly improved scene content and exceptional environmental effects. Training benefits also include a whole-Earth environment and worldwide database that incorporates latest terrain information with geo-specific satellite images.

The Teterboro training centre also offers a new state-of-the-art facility for flight crew emergency training that includes a pool for sea survival training, a full scale dunker, a hoist used to simulate being rescued from water by a helicopter and a full scale cabin trainer equipped with a visual system for emergency and cabin service courses.

FlightSafety is also to offer training for the King Air 350 aircraft in Teterboro, using an interchangeable simulator that is equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion and Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated avionics systems. The simulator will also be equipped with FlightSafety's VITAL 1100 Visual System and electric motion and control loading technology.

“We are pleased to expand our King Air 350 training programme with an interchangeable simulator that offers Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion and Pro Line 21 avionics,” says Steve Gross, senior vice president, commercial. “Our customers will appreciate the added flexibility this programme provides.”

Training is scheduled to start in April 2019 following FAA Level D qualification. The simulator is expected to be qualified by Transport Canada and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil later in 2019.
