IJM MENA, a joint venture between Austria's International Jet Management (IJM) and MENA Aerospace in Bahrain, has signed a management agreement for a Challenger 604. The Bahraini-registered aircraft will be added to IJM MENA's AOC and will be based in the MENA Aerospace hangar at Bahrain International airport.

Aside from owner use, the CL604 will be available for charter starting this summer. IJM expects the 10-seater jet to be used for flights within the region and to Europe, Asia, Africa and holiday destinations like Seychelles, Mauritius and Maldives. These bookings will be handled by AC Aviation Charter, global charter sales agent of IJM.

The IJM fleet of business jets in the Middle East now numbers five aircraft. Beside the CL604, the company offers a Legacy 600 for charter out of Bahrain, while the rest of the fleet are flown exclusively for owners. “We are very proud to be the operator of choice for this aircraft and we are very pleased to see our Bahraini operations growing,” says general manager Bernhard Wipfler.

“We are looking forward to having this additional charter aircraft based in Bahrain beside our Legacy 600. The Challenger is a beautiful aircraft with the interior just refurbished and we are sure there will be a lot of charter demand for it.”
