Cessna's Citation M2 has received certification to operate at airports with an elevation up to 14,000 feet. “Further proving that the Citation M2 is unmatched in its class, it now holds high-elevation airport certification,” says vp Chris Hearne. “This allows customers operating out of high-elevation airports, like many found in Latin America, to do more with their aircraft.”

The single pilot M2 has Garmin G3000 avionics, a redesigned interior with seating for seven and a maximum cruise speed of 404 kts. With more than 70 aircraft delivered since it entered the market in December 2013, it is on track to reach its 100th delivery in the fourth quarter of this year.

The certification means that the M2 will be able to comfortably land at Europe's highest airport Samedan (5,600 ft) and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (7,650 ft), the highest in EMEA.
