SATS teams up with Jet Aviation and Universal Aviation Singapore to operate private jet centre at Seletar Airport

SATS Ltd., Asia's leading provider of gateway services and food solutions, has teamed up with Jet Aviation, a leading global business aviation services provider, and Universal Aviation Singapore, a member of Universal Aviation, the ground support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., to operate Seletar Airport's private jet centre. Called the Business Aviation Centre, operations will be managed by the consortium's joint venture company, SATS Seletar Aviation Services Pte Ltd (SSAS).

The three parties will bring together their expertise to elevate service standards at the airport and offer a new level of experience for private jet passengers flying through Seletar Airport. Scheduled to open at the end of 2018, the new Business Aviation Centre will offer passengers an exclusive environment for swift airport clearance. Luxuriously furnished, the centre will have a reception area, security screening and lounge to provide travellers with personalised service from arrival to departure. A private environment provides the luxury sector travellers with the enhanced experience of boarding at their own time.

Said Bob Chi, chairman of SSAS and also senior vice president, sales and marketing of SATS, “Luxury travellers have specific needs and expectations. Combining SATS' technological innovation and years of food solutions and gateway services experience with our partners' knowledge of the private jet market, we will offer a bespoke travel experience that provides privileged comfort private jet travellers desire.”

Louis Leong, Jet Aviation Asia vice president, added, “Our goal is to ensure customers receive every advantage in terms of safety and seamless travel. This private jet centre supports the growing demand for services in Southeast Asia and confirms Singapore's position as a major centre for private jets. It will greatly benefit owners and operators of business jets in the region, and we look forward to welcoming them."

Ms Yvonne Chan, managing director of Universal Aviation Singapore said, “On behalf of our chairman, Greg Evans, we are delighted with Changi Airport Group's recognition of the unique needs and challenges of business aviation operators. We look forward to working with our partners to ensure the mission success of private jet owners and operators travelling to the Business Aviation Centre later this year.”
