Stevens Aviation has recently been approved as an authorized vendor for Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc. (JAFS). To receive this designation, Stevens Aviation passed a rigorous on-site audit of the facility and processes at the Greenville, S.C. MRO location (GYH), which oversees Stevens' AOG and mobile maintenance teams. 

The inspection verifies that Stevens Aviation's AOG rapid response team is authorized to service any aircraft from the managed fleet at JAFS. Stevens' mobile maintenance team operates 14 hubs east of the Mississippi, with 30 technicians and 15 trucks.

The on-site inspections included a review of Stevens' repair station and quality assurance manuals, as well as a walk-through of the tool room, technician libraries, quality assurance department, and a tour to review daily housekeeping. Stevens Aviation is certified by the FAA as a Part 145 Repair Station for maintenance, repair and overhaul. Stevens is also AS9110 certified, which exceeds civilian standards and allows Stevens to service military aircraft.

In addition to becoming an authorized vendor, Stevens Aviation is also participating in JAFS' “Train the Trainer” program, which allows Stevens to perform scheduled inspections on certified aircraft. Robert Harclerode, AOG/mobile maintenance manager at Stevens, is now qualified to train site leads and technicians as a JAFS RII approved inspector.
