Double celebration at PrivateFly as team marks 10th birthday and Sunday Times Export Track 100 ranking

The team at PrivateFly celebrated twice over last week as it marked ten years in business, hot on the heels of making The Sunday Times' annual league table of the UK's top exporters. The listing recognised the company's 86 per cent overseas growth in two years.

The team marked the start of its birthday month of March, with a specially-designed Citation XLS cake, and a winter barbecue, despite the heavy snowfall at its UK headquarters.

Published on 25th February, The Sunday Times' SME Export Track 100 named PrivateFly as one of the UK's top UK companies for overseas sales growth. The ranking is only open to profitable companies, and it is the third consecutive year the private charter booking platform has made the list, this time at position 36, and the sole aviation or travel company to feature.

Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly comments: “It's great timing to have this official recognition of our overseas growth, as we mark our first decade in business. And I'm particularly proud that we have managed to be listed for a third time. To sustain our growth at this level, while remaining profitable, makes us unique in our sector and demonstrates the strength of our model and our fantastic team, both in the UK and in our fast-growing US office in Fort Lauderdale.

“It's been ten years since we were a disruptive start-up, looking to convince the market that our vision of a tech-driven approach to private charter would succeed. A lot has changed since, but we've managed to retain our culture of innovation as we've grown. We like to think differently here at PrivateFly, and intend to keep doing so, as we enter our second decade.”
