Asian Sky Group completes impressive 2017 with successful transactions and more

Hong Kong-based business aviation consulting firm Asian Sky Group (ASG) has just completed one of its most successful years to date. Along with expanding its operational and sales teams, ASG had strong activity and income from all segments of its business in 2017; transactions, consulting, charter and advertising.

Throughout the year, ASG completed 16 aircraft sales and acquisitions and provided transactional support through its consulting services to a number of other clients. 2017 continued to be a good year for traditional charter services for ASG as well, with ASG expanding into commercial chartering and seat sales. Further on the consulting side, eight major projects with multiple phases were completed which examined the feasibility and business case for different facets of general aviation in the Asia-Pacific region including, airports, MRO, charter and various potential ownership models.

Asian Sky Media, ASG's new branch focusing on media and publications, produced more reports than ever before in 2017. The inaugural Asia Pacific Infrastructure Report and China GA Report were the media division's latest reports, providing valued insight into these often undocumented industry segments. Asian Sky Media also significantly expanded its advertising client base and worked with a growing number of clients for their media plans covering 2018. These media successes were recognized by the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), affiliated with the NBAA, with Asian Sky Media being awarded 'Best Media Outlet' at the Icons of Aviation awards for the second consecutive year, in November.

“In 2017, ASG has seen growth and success across all of business units,” says ASG managing director, Jeffrey Lowe. “This is an indication of how much clients trust us for their business aviation needs, which is the ultimate reward for us. We expect 2018 to be even busier with a number of transactions already scheduled to close in the first quarter of 2018, along with Asian Sky Media producing a full slate of 12 publications next year.”
