Blade launches third season of BladeOne New York-Miami jet service during Art Basel week

Blade's BLADEone jet service, operated by CFM Management, began its third season during Art Basel week with an expanded schedule adding Thursday evening departures to Miami as well as Monday afternoon returns to Manhattan throughout the season.

BladeOne, offers an experience without peer in the aviation industry. Blade fliers enjoy an airliner normally accommodating 65 passengers, that has been retrofitted for 16 enabling tremendous additional space as well as the level of personal in-flight service for which Blade has become renowned.

With BladeOne's spacious and clutter-free cabin, fliers enjoy unparalleled privacy during their flight, rather than the communal atmosphere of shared private jets which are configured for in-flight interaction between business colleagues and families. Given the common area space afforded by the retrofit (including the removal of overhead bins), passengers also have ample room to socialize with other fliers, if they so choose.

"The extensive length of the jet, combined with our unique retrofit, not only provides passengers with a relaxing and enjoyable trip but enables our three Blade skyC/X flight attendants to provide an unparalleled level of personal service on-board," says Melissa Tomkiel, president of fixed wing operations. "With the absence of awkward seating configurations, such as benches or seats aside office-style tables, our aim is for BladeOne fliers to have an experience much more reminiscent of the golden era of aviation in the 1960s than typical shared private jet shuttles."

Fliers can depart from a Manhattan Blade lounge by helicopter, landing directly beside the jet, or from Westchester Airport. In Miami, BladeOne lands at and departs from Blade's flagship Miami Lounge at a private airport. BladeOne avoids all the hassles of large airports and long TSA lines.

Fliers on the inaugural flight of the season departed Manhattan on Thursday, December 7th, arriving in Miami in time for the kickoff of Art Basel weekend.

On Friday, December 8th, Blade and rag & bone hosted a highly anticipated event at the Faena which proved to be one of the highlights of Art Basel weekend.

BLADEone jet service is continuing on a weekly basis through April, with flights departing on Thursdays at 6:00PM and Fridays at 2.00pm and returning from Miami on Sundays at 6.00pm and Mondays at 4.00pm.

As always, there are no membership fees required to purchase any of Blade's offerings.

All fliers purchasing two roundtrip BladeOne seats receive complimentary accommodations for the weekend at Faena Hotel Miami, voted Number One Resort Property in America and one of the top hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler's 2017 Readers Choice Awards.

Faena is home to two incredible oceanside restaurants, Los Fuegos by celebrated South American chef Francis Mallmann and Pao by James-Beard award-winning Paul Qui, as well as Tierra Santa Healing House spa, a South American-inspired oceanfront oasis of holistic rejuvenation. Rounding out the hotel's incredible amenities is a glamorous 150-seat cabaret-style theater which houses its own highly acclaimed original production, C'est Rouge! a sensual and seductive revue of singular vignettes set to Latin American and jazz rhythms.

On holiday weekends, a third night at the Faena is included without additional cost.

This new season of Blade service will be marked by exciting new design collaborations, including the appointment of Cynthia Rowley as the official designer of the 2018 Blade C/X team. Cynthia worked closely with the Blade team to offer a fresh and modern interpretation of the flight attendant uniform, which will be worn by Blade's skyC/X flight attendants as well as other members of Blade's C/X Team both in the air and in all Blade Lounges across the country.

This year's dopp kit, provided to all BladeOne passengers, was designed by Henri Bendel and contains a unique selection of next-generation personal care products including:

- Sisley Paris skincare products and an invitation for a complimentary facial

- hello charcoal toothpaste and charcoal bristled brush

- Living Proof hair care product

- Fera organic moringa powder

- Sugarfina confections

Additionally, all BladeOne fliers receive an invitation to rag & bone's VIP Program enabling 25% off all purchases made in the new Miami store. Blade will also arrange for purchases to be delivered to the Blade lounge in time for return trips to New York.

Onboard, fliers are provided with iPad Pros pre-loaded with first-run movies, cashmere blankets and plush pillows to enjoy during the flight.

Catering is provided by Dean & Deluca with caviar service by Pointy Snout. VieVité rosé, Casa Dragones tequila, and Bellissima prosecco continue to be important Blade partners and are also served on board BladeOne.
