Macao Civil Aviation Authority appoints Aviation Australia as first approved training organisation

Aviation Australia has further developed its international footprint by being recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Macao as an approved training organisation. This approval covers aircraft maintenance category training for turbine fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

Aviation Australia and the CAA have been working together to achieve this milestone, which will allow Aviation Australia to deliver accredited aircraft maintenance engineering training and examinations in Macao.

“We are extremely honoured to be appointed as Macao's first approved maintenance training organisation,” stated Bill Horrocks, chief executive officer of Aviation Australia.

“To hold the certificate number AACM T-01, which is the first certificate issued, is a testament to the quality of training developed and delivered by Aviation Australia, as well as the professionalism of the Aviation Australia team who have worked on this project.”

Aviation Australia's global footprint is growing, with the Aviation Australia Riyadh College in Saudi Arabia currently training more than 1,500 students annually. This is in addition to Aviation Australia's training programs delivered in cooperation with key international industry partners the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence in Malaysia, the Asian Aviation Centre in Sri Lanka and the Jakarta Aviation Training Centre in Indonesia. Aviation Australia provides consultancy work and training throughout the Middle East and Asia, working alongside internationally recognised airlines and repair organisations.

Mr Horrocks highlighted that “we are working on a range of international projects at present. The goal of Aviation Australia is, and always has been, to support the aviation industry both across Australia and worldwide. With the growing demand for aviation professionals worldwide, Aviation Australia is honoured to play its role in assisting regulators, airlines and repair organisations meet this challenge.”
