Asian Sky Group sees further market stabilization and increased purchase intent in 2017 Q3; Asia-Pacific results released in Asian Sky Quarterly

Hong Kong business aviation consulting firm Asian Sky Group (ASG) has released its 2017 Q3 edition of Asian Sky Quarterly, complete with an updated forecast on the business jet and civil helicopter markets throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The report is being released in conjunction with ASG's appearance at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (Oct 10-12) in Las Vegas, USA.

The eighth edition of Asian Sky Quarterly provides the usual insights on market intelligence and trends, data on market mood, as well as the availability and prices for specific pre-owned aircraft types.

Reflecting on the current state of the market in the Asia-Pacific region, ASG managing director, Jeffrey Lowe said “2017 Q3 sees the same positive trends in the region that we highlighted last quarter persisting: pre-owned inventory declining, asking prices flattening out, market stabilizing and the trend line continuing to move towards a more balanced market between supply and demand.”

Lowe adds: “The 'feel good' factor has been growing consistently each quarter and finally this quarter we see the anticipated spike in purchase intent: an 11% increase for a new aircraft and 8% increase for a pre-owned aircraft, where the preferred type remains a large cabin aircraft”.

This installment also features a profile on business aviation in Thailand, an in-depth look at the pre-owned Gulfstream G200/G280 market, and a spotlight on Bombardier's Global 7000. A wide-range of interviews with key industry players are also included: Comlux executive vice president of marketing, Severine Cosma; ASG's director of completion management, Ed Harris; aircraft interior designer, Michael Reichenecker; and Amber Aviation vice president, sales and marketing/customer service, Vicky Tsui.

Asian Sky Quarterly is available digitally in English and Chinese.
