FCG OPS

Flight Support

Press Release

Issued by FCG OPS.

August 28, 2017

Flight Consulting Group is prepared for start of KHL Championship

The Continental Hockey League started at the end of August, and FCG OPS is ready to offer ground handling services to participating teams. In addition to the CIS countries, where FCG OPS has been traditionally offering its services, Riga, Helsinki, Bratislava and Beijing are also included in the ground handling network operated by the company.

“In previous years, we successfully served the flights of the KHL teams and had time to thoroughly study their requirements. Unlike usual charter flights or business aviation flights, this requires special attention to comfortable conditions for a large group of hockey players with oversized luggage, as well as convenient logistics for their movements before and after the flight. Knowledge of the specific features of each airport and detailed planning of the flight makes it possible to make the arrival and departure of the team as comfortable as possible”, comments Sergey Starkov, head of the FCG OPS dispatch centre.

FCG OPS is one of the largest certified dispatch centres in Europe. The company is located in Riga and coordinates the operation of a network of reliable ground agents at each of the airports. For more than 17 years, it has managed to build good relationships with all airport services and enlist the support of responsible managers.

Its thorough knowledge of the specifics allows it to offer a package of services that best meet the requirements for a hockey team’s flight: special meals on board the plane, convenience, and most importantly, rapid settlement of border and customs formalities, as well as the provision of additional security, and much more. If possible, a bus is provided for picking up the team directly on the airfield or passing through comfortable VIP-halls. In addition to specific services, classical services are also offered: ground handling, refuelling, issuing of landing and transit permits, and crew services: hotel accommodation and transfer.
