Desert Jet expands fleet with Gulfstream G200

Desert Jet has added a 2009 Gulfstream G200 to its charter fleet. This beautiful aircraft is based at the company's Palm Springs/Thermal headquarters at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (KTRM), and is available for immediate charter.

The Gulfstream G200 is one of the more popular corporate jet aircraft due to its range, speed and comfortable cabin. It can fly to Europe from practically any U.S. city with only one stop.

The Gulfstream G200 features a roomy feel with a stand-up cabin of over six feet, configured to accommodate nine passengers. The interior has an aft fully-enclosed lavatory with sink and the forward galley includes ample room for meal prep and storage for refreshments and snacks. The seating configuration consists of beautiful new leather seating for six and a large three-seat divan in warm neutral colors. The divan converts into a bed on longer flights, opening destinations such as Hawaii and Europe to Desert Jet clients. The galley prep area includes a microwave for freshly prepared, hot meals on longer flights. The spacious luggage area can be accessed during flight and can accommodate a substantial amount of luggage, including items such as snow skis and golf clubs. In addition, a cabin attendant is provided for longer flights and on request.

“We are excited to offer this beautiful aircraft to our customers who want the comfort and convenience of nonstop flights to the East Coast,” said Denise Wilson, president and CEO of Desert Jet. “The Gulfstream G200 has everything that could be desired in a private jet: great range, cabin size, and speed. It's the ideal jet for completing long-range missions rapidly and comfortably.”

In addition to adding this aircraft to its charter certificate, Desert Jet acquired this aircraft on behalf of its new owner by finding an off-market aircraft that best met the buyer's needs. Once located, Desert Jet managed the entire acquisition, inspection, acceptance and delivery process for the buyer, saving the buyer over two million dollars on the transaction as well as implementation costs. In addition, Desert Jet oversaw and managed the completions process after delivery to include new paint and refreshed interior appointments.
