The Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE) will feature Dassault's newest business jet: the ultra-long range Falcon 8X, along with the legendary 5,950nm/11,000 km Falcon 7X and the 4,000 nm/7,700 km Falcon 2000S. The event runs from August 15-17 at São Paulo's Congonhas Airport.

Less than one year after certification of the 6,450 nm/11,945 km trijet, the 8X is in operation in nearly all key markets around the world, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East and India and will soon enter service in China. 

“Success for the Falcon 8X in Brazil is following the same trajectory set by the popular Falcon 7X,” said John Rosanvallon, president and CEO of Dassault Falcon Jet. “The feedback on our new flagship has been universally positive in Brazil and around the world, especially regarding cabin noise levels, which make it the quietest aircraft in its class.”

With eight passengers and three crew, the Falcon 8X is capable of connecting São Paulo with San Francisco and Moscow, Hong Kong with London and Shanghai with Los Angeles. The aircraft features a cabin 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) high, 2.34 m (7 ft 8 in) wide and 13 m (42 ft 8 in) long and offers customers the most diverse selection of cabin layouts on the market. Three galley sizes are available, including two with a crew-rest option. Operators also have an extensive selection of passenger seating areas of varying lengths capable of supporting different lavatory layouts. 

The 8X is available with Dassault's revolutionary new FalconEye Combined Vision System, the first head-up display in the industry to combine synthetic and enhanced vision capabilities. In addition to ensuring superior situational awareness in all conditions of operation, day and night, FalconEye will make it possible to reduce minima in low visibility landing conditions, providing a substantial operational benefit. Passengers will also enjoy Ka band high speed internet connectivity throughout the cabin with Honeywell's JetWave connectivity option.

The 4,000nm 2000LXS, and its shorter range sibling the Falcon 2000S, offers a short-field capability comparable to smaller midsize business jet models but with a range and comfort level far better than those aircraft. Equipped with a next-generation EASy flight deck and the FalconCabin HD+ cabin management system, the 2000LXS/S offers a combination of airport performance, cabin design and efficiency unique in their class. They are also available with the FalconEye Combined Vision System.

LABACE will also feature Dassault's new Falcon Immersive Practical Training module, which uses 3D virtual reality technology to facilitate maintenance training for engineers and technicians. The module is intended as a complement for those undertaking certified practical training for Falcon business jets at the Dassault training center.

Dassault Aircraft Services Sorocaba Key to Success in Brazil

Dassault Falcon Jet houses over $6.5 million U.S. worth of high-usage genuine Dassault Falcon spare parts at the São Paulo facility to accommodate the demands of Brazilian and other South American customers.

The company-owned Sorocaba service center is authorized to perform line maintenance and airframe inspections on all Falcon models except the Falcon 10, Falcon 20 and Falcon 200. In addition, the facility is qualified to provide engine maintenance on the CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731 series engines and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A and PW308C models. Specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) services, such as penetrant and eddy current testing can also be performed. A full service battery shop is available to repair, replace or recharge main and emergency batteries on Falcon and other aircraft models.

Following the opening of the Sorocaba service center in June 2009, Dassault Falcon Jet has continued to expand the facility with increased manpower, spare parts and tooling. Sorocaba can dispatch an AOG team to support Falcon aircraft anywhere in South America, along with the parts and tools necessary to get the aircraft flying again with minimal delay.
