Flight Consulting Group warns of Vilnius Airport closure

As a result of repairs to its runway, Vilnius International Airport (EYVI) will be closed from 13 July to 17 August. The entire infrastructure and the majority of regular flights will be temporarily moved to the nearest airport of Kaunas (EYKA).

Limitations on slot numbers will not allow the acceptance of all business flights in Kaunas, and the maximum parking time will be limited to three hours. Consequently Flight Consulting Group's control centre. the leader in servicing flights in the Baltics, is paying special attention to other possible options.

“As an alternative to Kaunas, we suggest the airports of Siauliai (186 km from Vilnius), Riga (262 km) and Palanga (300 km). FCG services around 70% of all flights in the Baltics and is a recognised authority in the region. We shall take care of servicing flights at the highest level possible, as well as ensure the delivery of passengers to Vilnius or Kaunas by comfortable cars or helicopters. We will do everything we can to minimise the impact of airport closure on the passengers and crew” says Mr. Sergey Starkov, control centre manager.

FCG offers a full range of land services, refuelling of aeroplanes, as well as passenger and crew services (including in-flight catering, hotels and transfers) not only in the Baltics, but also within the CIS and all Scandinavian states. Handling more than 500 flights monthly makes it possible to apply special corporate prices to all services, and with FCG's 15-years of experience, to know every local nuance.
