American Aero FTW hosts NBAA Regional Forum

After opening the doors to a new, world-class facility at Meacham International Airport less than two months ago, American Aero FTW served as the host FBO for the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Regional Forum in Fort Worth. The one-day event brought together current and prospective business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers, and other business aviation professionals.

NBAA holds three regional forums throughout the year “at some of the best airports and FBOs in the nation” with an average attendance of 2,500, according to NBAA. Regional forums incorporate exhibits, static displays of aircraft, and education sessions designed to introduce business aviation to local officials and prospective owners and operators as well as address any current issues in the regions.

The Fort Worth forum was held in two, new state-of-the-art American Aero FTW hangars and featured a static display of about 30 aircraft on the FBO's 11-acre ramp. The FBO also welcomed forum attendees with a daylong open house and tours.

American Aero FTW moved into its new, 8,400-square-foot space in January and is the primary tenant and only FBO in the airport's newly designed administration building. The makeover of the administration building was funded primarily by the City of Fort Worth with a major investment by American Aero FTW, owned by financier and philanthropist Robert M. Bass, a long-time member of NBAA.

“We welcome this opportunity to host the NBAA Regional Forum and invite business aviation professionals to get a first-hand look at the extraordinary changes that have taken place at Meacham International Airport. In partnership with the City of Fort Worth, we have truly created a five-star experience for arriving and departing pilots, and their passengers,” Bass said.

American Aero FTW's new facility offers modern passenger lounges and fully equipped conference rooms. Pilot and crew amenities include smart TVs, fully reclining seating, work stations, a soundproof sleep room, shower, kitchen, and a flight-planning room. The new facility also offers the latest technology, including:

Intelligent, electrochromic View Glass windows that automatically tint to reduce heat and glare while maximizing natural light and offering a floor-to-ceiling expansive view of the Texas skyline

Sound-masking to enhance the customer experience

Wireless fuel meter system for instantaneous and precise on-ramp transactions

The FBO offers 280,000 square feet of leasable hangar and office space, the largest ramp on the field, monitored 24/7 security, and U.S. Customs services onsite and on the ramp.

“Vibrant airports make vibrant cities, and we are proud to play a role in drawing more pilots and passengers to Fort Worth,” said Riggs Brown, general manager of American Aero FTW.

Brown delivered opening remarks at the forum and introduced Ed Bolen, president and CEO of NBAA.
