American Electric Power joins Air Charter Safety Foundation

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce that American Electric Power (AEP) has joined the ACSF. Along with 145 other companies, American Electric Power supports the ACSF's vision to promote and enable the highest levels of safety in personal and business aviation through the promotion and facilitation of risk management programs.

“Our mission at AEP is to provide our business travelers with world-class levels of service and safety for all their company travel needs,” said American Electric Power chief pilot, Richard Rogers. “We continually look for additional ways to improve our safety culture. Participating in the aviation safety action program (ASAP) program in conjunction with the ACSF will add to AEP's safety management system.”

American Electric Power has a strong tradition of leadership, service and brings a commitment of supporting communities to everything they do, from showing mutual care for the health and well-being of people to setting the standards for safety, efficiency and reliability in their electric transmission and distribution systems. “The flight department attributes the company's outstanding safety record to a culture that starts at the top, exceptional employees, and relentless training,” added Rogers.

“We are pleased to welcome American Electric Power Service Corporation to the foundation,” said ACSF president Bryan Burns. “Becoming a member of ACSF and participating in our ASAP program demonstrates their commitment to continuous improvement.”
