Boeing Business Jet expands MedAire travel risk solutions

MedAire, world's leading provider of medical, travel and safety services has announced that it has expanded its long-standing partnership with Boeing Business Jets (BBJ). MedAire's comprehensive travel risk management solution will now be part of the standard equipment onboard every aircraft built. The expanded entitlement program provides BBJ clients with a complete medical, safety and security service solution that meets the evolving needs of the business aviation customer.

Due to the changing mission profile and overall higher level of travel risks experienced in business aviation, there is the need for additional safety and security assistance. In response to these developments, Boeing Business Jets now come equipped with MedAire's expanded safety services; including aviation travel security briefs, air space assessments, information and advice to mitigate risk at destination, and access to MedAire's 24/7 global network of security experts, local providers and logistics personnel.

MedAire reports that it now receives as many requests for security related assistance as they do for medical services, according to recent data from their Global Response Center (GRC) in Phoenix, Arizona. The company receives in excess of 17,000 calls per month for aviation specific medical, safety and security assistance. MedAire has experienced approximately 20% yearly growth in customer utilization of services from the business aviation sector, with recent demand for pre-travel council and in-flight safety and security assistance rising even higher.

“Our call data is a testimonial to the changing travel and risk profile for the business aviation customer. Boeing Business Jet's upgrade to MedAire's comprehensive travel safety services is an example of a leading manufacturer responding to industry changes and customer needs.” said Bill Dolny, ceo of MedAire.

MedAire, an International SOS company, has been a leader in travel risk management for the business and general aviation market for over 30 years. Travel security services are delivered through its joint venture with Control Risks, the world's leading security risk management firm.
