Hawker Pacific Shanghai approved as first MRO in mainland China approved for Isle of Man registered aircraft

Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre is pleased to announce it has received approval to perform maintenance on aircraft registered with the Isle of Man. This is the first approval by the Isle of Man Government for any MRO in mainland China.

“This approval will allow the MRO to service the increased fleet of Isle of Man Aircraft that we see throughout Asia,” says general manager Carey Matthews.

“It is a compelling registry for many owners in the region, and this MRO approval will play an instrumental role in the expanding service infrastructure evolving in China.”

“The IOM registration with over 500 aircraft already on the registry represents a large body of aircraft, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to offer our services to them in Shanghai.”

The MRO worked with the Isle of Man government closely to develop the compliance capability for over a year. The work was driven by multiple IOM registered aircraft continually transiting through Shanghai.
