NATA congratulates American Aero FTW as first U.S. company to achieve IS-BAH certificate of registration

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has congratulated American Aero FTW for achieving the first U.S.-issued International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) certificate of registration. Kurt Edwards, director general, IBAC, Terry Yeomans, IS-BAH program director, IBAC and Michael France, director, safety and training, NATA, presented the official certificate of registration this week at the NBAA International Operators Conference in San Antonio, TX.

IS-BAH, a global industry code of best practices, provides standardization to handlers and operators around the world. Introduced last year by IBAC and NATA, the IS-BAH follows the long established structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) program and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit program.

“We commend American Aero FTW for demonstrating its global commitment to safety best practices by obtaining the IS-BAH certification and look forward to more ground handlers and operators joining their ranks as safety leaders,” stated NATA president and ceo Thomas L. Hendricks.

American Aero FTW is a fixed base operator (FBO) and NATA Safety 1st participant located at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas.
