HAITEC VIP Maintenance receives LBA approval

HAITEC Aircraft Maintenance GmbH was recently granted its maintenance organization approval from Germany's Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt LBA) for its vip maintenance division.

HAITEC VIP Maintenance commenced operations on November 20th, 2014, in its 4,300 sqm hangar dedicated to vip customers at the Airport Erfurt-Weimar, welcoming its first Gulfstream G550 owned by Silk Way Airlines, based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

“We are delighted with this development as HAITEC is a new and strategically located VIP Aircraft Maintenance centre in Europe. Our highly skilled, experienced VIP Maintenance team is now a member of the global aviation elite. It is HAITEC's clear objective to offer exclusivity, flexibility and prime quality services to meet with the highest international standards,” says Michael Bock, ceo of HAITEC Aircraft Maintenance GmbH.

Currently, HAITEC VIP Maintenance, an EASA-Part 145 organization, has approvals for Gulfstream G550 and the Airbus 320 family and, besides standard line and base maintenance, will concentrate on cabin refurbishment and interior design applications.

“Since 2008, HAITEC has been providing line and base maintenance for almost all types of Boeing and Airbus aircraft, as well as the MD-11 and Gulfstream GV-SP. We have approvals from Russia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bermuda and Azerbaijan and are in preparation for obtaining further approvals. Concurrently, our workforce planning is in full swing as we want to grow our VIP team in Erfurt to about 100 professionals by the end of 2017,” explains Bock.

The new VIP facilities in Erfurt are part of a grand investment of 30 million Euros to significantly increase HAITEC'S competitiveness and aircraft maintenance capacities over the course of the next three years.

“We approach the end of 2014 with quite exciting times ahead of us. Our investment, including the purchase of our current hangar and the construction of a new hangar suitable for A380 maintenance work both at Frankfurt-Hahn airport, is of paramount importance to the HAITEC group of companies and a vital step for our long-term future within the industry's highly competitive global MRO market,” says Bock.
