Jet Aviation earns ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications in Houston

Jet Aviation Houston has received certification confirming that it meets the requirements to establish, document, implement and continually improve its environmental, health and safety management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

ISO 14001 is a continuous improvement standard designed to help an organization reduce its impact on the environment and OHSAS 18001 is a safety initiative intended to reduce workplace injuries. Implementing the two systems required Jet Aviation to meet detailed criteria and receive approval through an independent auditor. Houston is the fifth Jet Aviation U.S. operation to receive the internationally recognized certification, along with Boston/Bedford, Mass., Palm Beach, Fla., St. Louis, Ill., and Teterboro, N.J.

"Jet Aviation is fully committed to protecting the environment and to protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers and visitors," said Gary Dempsey, president, U.S. aircraft services.

"We are pleased to announce our ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications at our fifth U.S. FBO location,” said John Langevin, vice president, FBO operations, North America. “Safety and the environment is a top priority for Jet Aviation. These certifications attest to the quality of our programs, policies and procedures established to minimize the impact on the environment and to ensure the highest safety standards at our Houston facility.”

Jet Aviation is exhibiting at NBAA2014 from October 21 through October 23. Please take the time to visit the Jet Aviation booth (#1200).
