FlightSafety to host 2014 Flight Simulation Engineering and Maintenance Conference

FlightSafety International announces that it will host the 2014 Flight Simulation Engineering and Maintenance Conference. It will be held September 15 to18, at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The conference is expected to be attended by more than 300 flight simulation experts from around the world. Attendees and participants will identify technical solutions to engineering and maintenance issues resulting in immediate and long-term savings and increased efficiency for simulator users.

“We look forward to hosting the 2014 Flight Simulation Engineering and Maintenance Conference,” said John Van Maren, vice president, Simulation. “FlightSafety is proud to be a member of the FSEMC Steering Committee, and pleased to support its mission to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of aviation worldwide, and to promote and advance the aviation training device industry.”

Conference attendees will be invited to visit FlightSafety's simulation training system design and manufacturing building located nearby. Up to 19 full flight simulators can be produced concurrently at the 375,000 square foot facility.

“Our team will be pleased to welcome FSEMC conference attendees,” said Dr. Nidal Sammur, director of engineering. “Our world-class facility enabled us to further increase the efficiency of our manufacturing processes and augment production capacity. Close to 600 design and manufacturing engineers and specialists provide our Learning Centers, as well as government, military, and airline customers around the world, with the highest quality simulators and training devices.”

FlightSafety has delivered more than 1,000 visual systems and 800 flight simulators and other advanced training devices to date. This includes simulators for commercial aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer. The simulators and visual systems are part of an integrated training system used throughout the company's network of Learning Centers and by many other leading commercial, government and military organizations worldwide.
