Gama Aviation adds Gulfstream G550 to European based charter fleet

Gama Aviation, the global business aviation services provider today announced a further expansion of its European based charter fleet with the addition of a Gulfstream G550 to its UK Air Operator Certificate.

With its long-range capability, Gama's G550 easily links Europe with Los Angeles, Tokyo and Johannesburg at a cruising speed of Mach 0.80. The G550 will cover shorter distances at a speed of Mach 0.87.

With a cabin length of nearly 44 feet and seating for up to 16 passengers, it is configured to allow for one group of travellers to work or hold an inflight conference whilst elsewhere on the aircraft other passengers can enjoy a more restful experience. Productivity is assured through the aircraft's wifi and satcom phone capability whilst leisure passengers can enjoy an in-flight entertainment system that includes a large 24” LCD widescreen TV, DVD and CD players.

Other highlights of Gama Aviation's G550 interior include its ergonomically designed, handcrafted 28” berthable club chairs with electronic lumbar supports and telescoping footrests, a four place conference group seating area and credenza, along with two four place berthable divans.

With Gulfstream ultra-long-range capability and short range efficiency the G550 proves its time saving abilities with ease.

This new addition to the Gama fleet is based at London Stansted Airport in the UK, ensuring 24 hour availability.

Gama Aviation's European main operating base at Farnborough is host to a number of other corporate jets, including Lear Jet 45s, Hawker 1000's, two Challenger 604s and a Dassault Falcon 2000. Gama Aviation's large charter fleet ensures that its clients are able to benefit from reliable, efficient and bespoke flight operations.

β€œThe addition of a G550 to our charter fleet enables Gama Aviation to ensure that our customers continue to benefit from productive, exclusive and hassle-free travel arrangements, wherever their business or leisure activities may take them. I am delighted that we are able to enhance our client service offering with the addition of the G550 complementing our choice of existing small, midsize, large cabin and long haul aircraft options.” said Paul Cremer, commercial manager Gama Aviation.
