The ACJ321 is the corporate jet version of the A321short to medium range aircraft. It is the largest of the Airbus narrow body corporate jets; a stretch variant of the A320 with an additional 22.75 ft of length. It is powered by two CFM 56-5B turbofans producing 26,500 lb of thrust and has additional centre tanks that enable it to fly over 4,500 nm. It shares cockpit and maintenance commonality with all the ACJ320 Family.

The A321 itself was launched on 24 November, 1988 and its maiden flight came on 11 March, 1993. The first prototype flew with IAE V2500 engines but these were changed for the second model.

The ACJ321neo variant offers more efficient engines, airframe improvements and sharklets. The prototype made its first flight on 9 February, 2016 and type certification was achieved on 15 December, 2016.
